Since giving his life to Jesus on 7th June 1988, John Brown has been actively involved in various lay-positions in church life: participating in public worship services: leading young people’s groups: playing/singing in church worship group: leading and creating material for weekly house-groups: developing material for use on church reflection days: and various outreach initiatives. In 1991, for seven years, he also led a four-member preaching and worship group called, ‘Sow the Seeds Ministries’, in which they proclaimed the gospel in a high security prison in Liverpool every Tuesday and Sunday evening.
John currently worships at his local Anglican church and, for almost 4 years. has been an active volunteer at CCHC, by ‘projecting and recording’ services in the main chapel and also as a Prayer Minister.
John`s secular employment: began with 9 years in the Quantity Surveying profession: 17 years as an employer in his own building construction business: 10 years as a secondary school teacher which included various additional positions such as Head-of-Year and Director-of-Faculty.
Having celebrated their Ruby wedding in 2018, Denise and John continue to place a large emphasis on family life with our three children, their spouses, and five grandchildren.
