Transformational Encounter

If you are over busy, stressed, burdened, hurting, let down, angry, weary, disillusioned, abused, confused, empty, sad or sensing loss of faith then step aside with Jesus, who sets the captives free.
These words from a guest describe what to expect from Transformational Encounter:
"There was a lot of content to the course and in order to make the most of the time there was a need for commitment, concentration and work, and much prayer and listening to God. Somehow it was both busy and yet restful at the same time - busy because there was much to focus on and think about but restful because such in-depth focus blocks all other thoughts and life stresses from the mind. All this was helped of course by the traditional wonderful hospitality, accommodation and catering for which Crowhurst is well known!
It is probably important to say that Transformational Encounter isn`t like Healing Retreat 1 which is more a time of being taken gently by the hand and taken through some excellent teaching and meditation and then meeting with Prayer Minister`s who pray into what ever issue for healing you have brought with you that weekend. Those weekends are wonderful and meet many needs but Transformational Encounter is for those who wish to go on from there to be deeper with the Lord and learn for themselves to hear Him speak into their lives.
In order to do that we focused as a group for the whole five sessions of the weekend on just one story of healing from the gospels, considering the participant`s roles and identity, emotions, circumstances, and individual journey. And in doing this we then in our own reflective time looked at those same aspects for our own lives; as those in the gospels came to Jesus directly for healing so we, over the course of the weekend, had time and space and were encouraged to come to Him directly for our own healing and in the process to learn ways of being able to continue this in our own busy lives in the world. As an aid to doing this we were given a workbook/journal to use for our notes and thoughts. This journal was entirely personal to us and we could write as much or as little as we chose (I wrote lots!) and there was no pressure to share our thoughts or even to join in with group discussions if we chose not to do so.
So rather than this Retreat being like my previous experiences of being listened to by the Crowhurst Ministry team it was instead learning how to talk to God and listen to Him for myself and it was a special and helpful experience. I heartily recommend it to others."
